Promoting Querétaro | Secretaría de Turismo del Estado de Querétaro

Three vertical reels made during my internship at the Secretaría de Turismo del Estado de Querétaro, one for each location: the Artisan Corridor in Amealco, a ceramic workshop in Tequisquiapan and an ixtle workshop in Tequisquiapan. I developed the creative approach and handled the filming and editing.

BRIEF

The Secretaría de Turismo needed a series of social media reels to showcase local workshops, highlight traditional crafts and promote artisan tourism across the region.

RESEARCH

I visited each location and spoke directly with the artisans and business owners, learning about their products, techniques and stories. These firsthand conversations informed the content and helped shape each reel around the people and processes behind the craft.

CONCEPT & VISUAL DIRECTION

I came up with a single creative concept for the three reels so they work as one series. I defined a shared visual identity (color palette, typography, cutting rhythm and motion) and applied it consistently to every location, so each reel feels like part of the same story while showing a different place and craft.

PRODUCTION & POST-PRODUCTION

Since the artisans showed me their work as I visited, the script and the filming were built on the go. I edited the three reels in Adobe Premiere Pro, applying the same visual identity to all of them (color palette, typography, cutting rhythm and motion), along with color correction and licensed music carefully synced to the cuts. Many workshops had low light, which I corrected in post-production.

result

The three reels were reviewed and supervised by the Secretaría de Turismo, published on its social media, and both the artisans and the Secretaría team were happy with the result.
